CLSS Committee Portfolios

The Canberra Law Students' Society works across a multitude of areas as we strive to deliver on our mission; enhancing the experience of all law and justice students at the University of Canberra by providing the student body with advocacy, academic competitions, social, networking and careers events, skill building seminars, education and social justice forums.

Careers

Law students are able to apply for an amazing range of career opportunities upon graduation. Like few other degrees, a law degree opens doors in everything from management and public service positions right through to the traditional avenue of actually practicing law.

Competitions

Competitions are an important part of your law degree. Not only do they help you develop the skills you will need for future career opportunities, they also get you involved with other law students and personalities from the legal community. They are a great way to gain knowledge of the practical skills that are a part of practicing law.

As an acadmic society, the CLSS understands the importance of education, and aims to ensure that students are provided the resources to access education through recognising, acknowledging and celebrating students from all sections of society.

The Socials portfolio looks after all things socials and events. Notable events include our annual Law Ball, Welcome drinks, International Woman's day event and more!

The aim of the portfolio is to create a safe space and promote a healthier lifestyle for all law and justice students at the University of Canberra. Just remember that the Wellbeing team are students just like you and can relate to how intense and overwhelming studying law can be.
